New Friends

I made some new friends this weekend. Dave & Ali Cross came up here from Salt Lake City to visit my wife & myself. I had met Ali once before but I had never met or talked to David. He is quiet like I am so we did not do much talking at first...but as the time wore on both of our shyness gave way to things we have in common like guns & hunting...neither of us is a "great white" hunter so we had fun looking over my collection of guns ranging from my shotguns to my XP-100. They have 2 awesome kids too....Josh became instant friends for life with them...they were outside most of the day looking for rocks for souvenirs to take back home with them & for Josh to take to school cause they are studying them in school.

Happy 4th of July

I got my phone all charged up & Josh & myself went the the little city of Hansen Idaho to watch the fireworks. My phone takes some pretty awesome pictures.

Josh & Dad night at the races

This is one for the books....Josh & I went to the Magic Valley Speedway https://www.magicvalleyspeedway.com/ on Friday the 3rd of July for free night of racing thanks to Pepsi, each year they give me & anybody who sells Pepsi 2 free tickets to the Pepsi 125 which got rained out June 6th. I was having second thoughts about taking him because he is autistic & the loud motors scare him. But he did AWESOME! My phone went dead shortly after taking this picture of him....(which is the reason why their are not more) it started to rain....AGAIN.....but luckily it was short lived & they were able to get the track dried off & racing resumed. It was another memorable event I will not soon forget!

Well summer is here & that means no more school for Josh. SOO this summer he is growing up & I mean in more ways than one ( he is growing like a weed), so we decided he can work with dad at the pizza place. He is jacked about earning his own spending money, He was been wanting a wii & we told him save up 1/2 & we will match the other 1/2 so he is excited. He also told us the other day he wants a 52" flat screen lcd tv for his bedroom to hook his wii up too. Will have to wait & see about that one....LOL!!

MIGHTY BAT CAVE! Yes it is the Batmobile. Can't believe they were charging $6 for your picture in front of it. I cheated as did a bunch of others & took my own picture off to the side!

This was Josh's favorite hot rod at the roadster show. It has a surfboard in the back of it which is what he liked about it.

This is a dragster I have seen race at Firebird Raceway in Eagle Idaho.

Josh standing in front of the "ORANGE CRATE" in an orange shirt no less! Thats my boy!

Boise Roadster Show

Josh & myself are going to Boise to the Boise Roadster http://www.firebirdonline.com/ show this coming Saturday. This will be his 1st time going & my 2nd. Last year I went with a friend & really enjoyed myself....so this year I thought it might be nice to take my son up there. He does not do the loud sounds so as long as the cars are sitting still I hope he will enjoy it. I will take lots of pictures & will try & post them on here.

I put a music player on here today with my wife's help....it has some of the music I enjoy.

Having my Dad here for my birthday meant a lot to me. With years of experience building hot rods, his opinion means the world to me, both as a master mechanic and as a father. Thanks Dad.

I was excited about being able to work on my engine with my Dad and getting his guidance.

Looking over my engine & giving me good advice.

Dad and Curtis are a great help. I'm always grateful for any suggestions.
Now, on another note: You both need to come back and help me clean up this mess from my water heater flooding. Sure wish you lived closer.

Thunder Ferd

I bought this 1976 Ford F150 from a friend a few months ago and have been busy fixing it up. I was going to call it Ferd (instead of Ford) but then I put headers on it and Joshua said it sounded like thunder so I changed the name to "Thunder Ferd". What do you think?

This is the beginning of the broken knuckle garage. I started on the benches in January 08 & worked on them through out the winter. It is still a bit messy as I start to find places to store everything I have accumulated over the years. It is starting to get nicer outside now so I will no longer have that excuse to use as not to get everything in it place & keep it there. Someday I am going to have a nice shop on our property to be able to work on my Hot Rods or what ever I have at the time. Currently I am working on a 1976 Ford F-150 4X4. I will post pictures soon. It is Blue & it runs good just needs some TLC & some minor body work, but at least it runs!
